Our Beer
Our beer is brewed using a 'BAD Mash' process to achieve 0.5% ABV.
BAD standing for Bugger-All-Diastatics!
Diastatic Power is a measure of the active amylase enzymes in the mash that are responsible for breaking down starch in the malt grains to fermentable sugars. We manipulate various parameters outside of the usual brewing range to severely limit that activity – hence it is effectively a ‘bad’ mash in both senses.
We brew our beer for 6 weeks which ensures a great taste. Good things come to those who wait.
